THE JOURNEY TO NOW
“In my thirty-five years of experience in the apparel industry, every step of my journey has been a deliberate stride toward the creation of the ULANDO-OSLER brand. My career began in retail sales, where I first encountered the power of branding and the ways in which marketing shapes consumer perception of value. This early foundation culminated in a position with the former upscale Chicago retailer, Bonwit Teller.
Driven by my long-held aspiration to become a professional designer, I enrolled in the Fashion Design program at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. There, my focus shifted toward mastering the craft of garment construction. SAIC played a pivotal role in shaping and expanding my artistic vision. Upon graduation, my academic achievements led to acceptance into the graduate program at Cornell University’s Department of Textiles and Apparel.
After earning my master’s degree, I relocated to New York to pursue a design career in the heart of the fashion industry. This chapter afforded me opportunities to contribute to diverse design teams at Calvin Klein, Henry Grethel, House of Dereon, John Bartlett for Liz Claiborne, and Nick Graham, among others.
I believe the accumulation of these experiences has equipped me with both the vision and technical expertise needed to lead the ULANDO-OSLER brand into a new era of growth and distinction.”
